Animal Adventures Outreach
Animal Adventures is designed for ages five and up and for most audience sizes. This 45-minute program features animals from around the world, and each program features 6-7 ambassador animals, including birds, mammals, and reptiles.
Many Dallas Zoo animals eat hundreds of pounds of browse (tender shoots, twigs, and green leaves of trees and shrubs) every single day. Help our animals get their favorite meals by donating fresh, healthy, recently trimmed or felled landscaping.
Take a 90-minute guided tour and get the inside scoop on how we care for our Zoo animals daily. This one-of-a-kind experience includes animal feedings, behind-the-scene experiences, private Wild Encounters shows, and more.
Families can find adventures that fit their needs and schedules in our popular education programs. Every program offers guided experiences of the Zoo, animal encounters, and themed activities that create an inclusive and educational environment for all families.
The Dallas Zoo welcomes groups and organizations throughout the year for WILD field trips. Visitors of all ages can spark and maintain their interest in animals, the environment, science, and more!
Campers in Grade K-6th discover something new at the Dallas Zoo during each of our camp experiences. Our seasonal camps include guided tours, animal encounters, and animal-themed adventures in a small group setting led by a Zoo educator.
Wild Earth Preschool is the only full-day nature-based preschool in Southern Dallas. Children engage in nature play, visits to the Zoo, mindfulness exercises, and an emergent curriculum that supports whole-child development and school readiness.
Zoo Crew is designed to give teens the opportunity to learn and volunteer throughout the Zoo. Teens gain experience by serving in areas that include guest engagement, animal care, education programs, and special events.
